Care Means Action
20 Non-profit Organizations Gather at the Hellenic American Education Center (HAEC)
to talk About Volunteer Opportunities
Twenty non-profit organizations representing a broad range of community, environmental and health issues will gather on April 26, 2013 at the Hellenic American Education Center (HAEC) to talk about their organizations and opportunities for volunteers. The event, which is being sponsored by the Psychology Program of Hellenic American University, will be held 11:30 – 19:30 at the Hellenic American Union Auditorium at Massalias 22, Athens.
“Care Means Action” will provide an opportunity for people of all ages who are concerned about issues such as children’s welfare, the environment, animal rights, and social inclusion (to name just a few) to talk directly to non-profit organizations active in these fields and learn about the pioneering work these groups of people are doing in Greece. They’ll also learn about the roles volunteers play within these organizations and find the one that best matches their interests and skills.
The event’s schedule of non-profit organizations presentations is posted at: www.haec.gr.
Persons interested in attending this free event are advised to reserve a place in advance by calling
