Big plans...

As you may know, Mattel Children's Foundation is funding a consecutive project in Pikpa in collaboration with tandem. 

We are going to be renovating a ward which hosts up to 18 children with the help of Schema Architecture & Engineering and Eleven Design. But we are not JUST renovating a ward. We are turning a ward into a HOME. After the renovation each child will have its own personal space and belongings. After the completion of the renovation tandem will also fund a psychologist to work with the staff and children in order to assure they will adopt home like habits and attitudes!

This is the current state of the fourth ward. Hopefully in less than two months the children will have a whole new home with spaces that respect their privacy and personality!

Big Smile (part II)

This week the architect Marianna Athanasiadou ( Harvard graduate!) and the civil engineer Christos Stavrogiannis met with the president of pikpa and the director to discuss the plans for the renovation. Everyone is very excited to see the second Mattel - Tandem project come to life.

Έχουμε τη χαρά να σχεδιάζουμε ήδη το δεύτερο project πάλι με την ευγενική χορηγία του Mattel Children's Foundation. Σύντομα θα σας αποκαλύψουμε περισσότερα...

Not a day goes by without remembering that all we do in the Activity Center is possible thanks to the interest Mattel Greece and the Mattel Children's Foundation took in our work. Soon we will be undertaking a second project. Stay tuned to find out more soon...
